Our main objectives are to secure alternative sources of supply and to establish reliable networks with various suppliers from which products can be sourced. We are dedicated to the establishment of export markets to contribute revenue through cross-border trade of products. NAMCOR is an active participant in the country’s downstream industry, holding a Wholesale License to import 100% of its petroleum product requirements. NAMCOR currently imports Diesel, Petrol and Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil in line with industry best practices and gazette specifications. Bulk Fuel Installations are key enablers that are used in Petroleum Downstream operations to service customers’ requirements.
Supply and Logistics have since its inception established and developed several bulk fuel storage depots in key locations, from where it services valued customers.
NAMCOR owns and operates a 650,000-litre capacity state-of-the-art bulk storage depot in Otjiwarongo, from where it trades a full range of refined petroleum products (Fuels and Lubricants) and services customers in the surrounding areas and Government agencies (near north & far north).
NAMCOR also holds 25% shareholding equity in the Engen Depot in Keetmanshoop, where smaller towns in the South of Namibia are served.
NAMCOR has contracts with reputable fuel transport companies with dedicated trucks to service its customers.
In addition, NAMCOR has also identified key locations to further expand its bulk fuel facility presence and to meet customer requirements in those areas. These are facilities in Ondangwa, Katima Mulilo, Windhoek and Gobabis.
To service eastern and Botswana customers, NAMCOR is leasing a depot in Gobabis.
At the beginning of 2021 NAMCOR was appointed as the Operator for the National Oil Storage Facility in Walvis Bay by the Namibian Government through the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the site was officially handed over to NAMCOR on the 1st of March 2021.
NAMCOR has accommodation arrangements with other Oil Marketing Companies to store and source products throughout the country.
NAMCOR leases the Bulk Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and Joint Bunkering Storage (JBS) Facilities in Walvis Bay from NAMPORT and services its clients from those facilities.
NAMCOR offers a number of main fuels, including Automotive Diesel Oil (ADO), Unleaded Petrol ’95 (ULP), and Very Low Sulphur Furnace Oil (VLSFO). The price for ADO and ULP is based on the Government regulated wholesale price, as applied by the Namibian Government from time to time. Pricing (site specific) is available upon request. VLSFO is sold at competitive market-related pricing to our customers.
The quality of Petroleum Products to be supplied by NAMCOR conforms to the specifications set out by the Namibian Government. Please note that the latest amendments shall apply. Quality certificates of all the products are regularly supplied on request.
