Oscar Capelao
Director
Oscar Capelao was appointed as Director to the NAMCOR Board, effective 1 July 2024. He holds : a Global MBA in Digital Business from the University of Barcelona, a B.Com Honors ( Accounting) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a B.Compt in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa.
Oscar began his career in 2000 and has accumulated over 25 years of experience in financial services. He is a Chartered Accountant and currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises. Prior to this role, he served as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer at one of the largest listed financial services group on the NSX.
Oscar also serves as Director of the Namibia Diamond Trading Company Board and has previously served as a director at the Namibia Stock Exchange, FirstRand Namibia Ltd, First National Bank of Namibia, Namibia Housing Enterprise, and OUTsurance Namibia. His wealth of experience comes in handy for NAMCOR.
