Mildred Hendricks

Mrs. Mildred Hendricks was appointed to the NAMCOR Board effective 1 August 2024. She is a seasoned legal professional with over two decades of experience in diverse roles within the development financing of State-Owned Enterprises. She holds a B. Juris Degree and an LL. B Degree from the University of the Western Cape, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Law Banking from UNISA. Her additional qualifications include several short courses in financial management, money laundering, compliance management, board governance, and risk management.
Currently employed at NamPost as a legal advisor, her responsibilities include contract drafting, legal opinions, and advice on legal and compliance matters. Before this role, she was the Manager of Legal and Compliance at NamPost, where she managed the Anti-Money Laundering Compliance program and provided legal risk identification and mitigation advice. She also ensured regulatory compliance, implemented the AML compliance regime, and reported to EXCO on compliance and risk assessments. Mrs. Hendricks has extensive experience from her roles at the Ministry of Justice as a Public Prosecutor and Magistrate, as well as a Legal Advisor at the Namibia Development Corporation. Additionally, she served as the Legal Advisor/Company Secretary at the National Housing Enterprise.
Mrs. Hendricks' extensive legal experience and expertise in compliance and risk management will significantly enhance NAMCOR's strategic initiatives and contribute to its mission of driving energy development and sustainability in Namibia.
