Trophimus Hiwilepo
Director
Trophimus Hiwilepo was appointed as Director to the NAMCOR Board, effective 1 July 2024. He is an experienced professional with extensive experience in Oil & Gas exploration and production, corporate governance, strategy and project management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa and completed specialized training in Petroleum Drilling from Integrated Technology Consultants in Norway. He has also undertaken various board and corporate governance courses, including the King III & IV Codes of Corporate Governance, as well as numerous leadership and technology specific courses.
With a career spanning over three decades, Trophimuso has held significant roles in both board and executive capacities. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Gondwana Collection, Nedbank Namibia and Seawork Food Processors.
Professionally, Trophimus is the Founding Member and Principal Consultant at Fayo Consultants in Windhoek, Namibia, where he has been providing independent management consulting services since February 2010. Prior to founding Fayo Consultants, he served in differrent roles for an international oil company in Namibia, Angola and Norway as well as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cell One.
Trophimus has a proven track record of coaching and mentoring oil and gas exploration professionals, implementing enterprise IT systems, managing large-scale projects and leading teams in both the public and private sectors. His diverse experience and strategic vision continue to drive innovation and performance in all his professional endeavors. His comprehensive experience in oil and gas, information technology and board leadership will significantly contribute to NAMCOR.
